In Between Tiles and Gardens, I explore the front gardens of Triniteit, the neighbourhood bordering Nesse. Inspired by my previous project How to Practice Paradise, I use conversations and observations to investigate the meanings and functions of these gardens and their recurring elements. At the heart of this research is the question: How can we connect the front gardens of Triniteit to the garden at Nesse?
Throughout the research, distinctive elements emerge that reflect both the identity of the neighbourhood and its relationship to greenery, including tiled gardens, roller shutters, and Zeeland garden ornaments. The findings are brought together in this Risograph publication.
